Young
Women’s Place Inc. is a not for
profit incorporated community organisation that provides
free support services to young women in the Toowoomba area.
We are funded through the Department of Communities around
young people at risk of homelessness, from Queensland Health
around youth health services for young people at risk of
homelessness and from the Toowoomba District Health
Services for a community Midwife. Our office space at Anthony
St is provided to us from the Department of Housing. We also
rely on the kind contributions of members of the community
who assist us with providing hygiene packs (shampoo, soap,
toothpaste etc) and emergency items like blankets or baby
clothes to young women accessing the service. If you are
involved in a community group or school program and are interested
in assisting Young Women’s Place
in this area, please contact any of the staff and we would welcome your support!

and overall management of the service. The committee can also become involved

initially.
